This Really Ought to Get You Mad!!

The question: Are House Members collecting Per Diem when they take those 5-day weekends?

Thanks to this interview with State Representative Tony Tinderholt, we have our answer, and you're not going to like it one bit.

Per Representative Tinderholt: House Members have been gone 34 days now at $221 a day. 

That means we've wasted $1,127,100 taxpayer dollars on per diem for them when they're not in the place that they're getting paid to be at work. 

I have a problem with that.  Representative Tony Tinderholt has a problem with that. Do you have a problem with that?  Do your friends have a problem with that, or is it just me? I'd really like to know.
